Who is Sandra Plasencia?

Hello! My name is Sandra Plasencia. I am from Santa Clara, Cuba, where I lived a very happy childhood with my brother and family. As a child, I felt a great fascination for everything that had to do with beauty, and I admired my mom, who punctually every weekend fixed her hair and nails taking me with her to each of her visits to the beauty salon or the manicurist home from where I also went out with my nails done. 

Since little, after my manicure, there was something that always made me feel prettier, I don’t know how to explain it but it was like that. In 1996 I finished the university in Santa Clara and not being able to find a job, I decided to continue studying in Havana. There, I started doing the first facials to my schoolmates with the few resources we had at our fingertips. Seeing how I could help someone look better and feel better was something I enjoyed fully.

My Journey Towards a Beautician

I did an esthetician course in Santa Clara that gave me the basic knowledge of the speciality, but it was when I arrived in Chicago when I really began to devote myself to it.

The first thing I did was to revalidate my esthetics license and I got a license as a Nail Technician

Also, what leads me to open Chicago Permanent Makeup Academy to start doing nails, facials and body treatments for my clients.

The growth of Chicago Permanent Makeup Academy was immense and that gave me a lot of experience in the beauty field.

Later on, I trained myself in Permanent Cosmetics and I followed another passion: teaching others what I know.

I took courses in Canada and Europe and, today, I have developed my own technique of Microblading and Microshading. I dedicate myself professionally to train technicians in this speciality.

Starting my own Brand: Sandra Plasencia

I am Sandra Plasencia, an expert in Health and Beauty, CEO of Chicago Permanent Makeup Academy. A Cuban who arrived decades ago in the US.

My years of experience doing skincare in Chicago have given me a wealth of knowledge about the products that yield the best results in treating normal and problematic skin. 

I have created a product line, after a thorough selection of high-quality ingredients, which are skin and environmentally friendly. The products offer proven results in the treatment of different conditions on the skin and in daily care.

Our skin has defence mechanisms against external attacks and with the right ingredients, we managed to strengthen that defence. I hope you like my products and that you can distribute them in your beauty salon or Spa or you acquire them for your personal care.
